Job Description

What you’ll be doing: 

As General Ledger Accountant, you will be part of the broader accounting/finance team in our HQ being responsible to liaise with diverse stakeholders in DO & CO to ensure our group of companies accounting information practice are accurately reflected. precise preparation and verification of financial data, general ledger entries and financial statement reconciliation. You will be great support of the accounting department in the HQ supporting monthly and annual closing processes, journal entries and general finance duties. 

Qualifications

A day as a General Ledger Accountant:   

  • Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for several Austrian companies
  • Independent preparation of appendices and publication documents for the respective individual financial statements
  • Comprehensive group reporting in the form of quarterly reporting packages
  • Active participation in various (inter)national projects
  • Proactive engagement in process optimization projects

Who you are: 

  • Accountant examination desirable
  • Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
  • Strong sense of responsibility and assertive, charismatic personality
  • Professional communication skills in German and English
  • Independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working
  • Enjoy team and project work
  • Hands-on mentality and persistence
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
